Why I understand your season

Because I have worked it. Ten years of driving routes, construction and running crews before I ever opened a design tool, most of it in central Minnesota where the calendar runs the business whether you like it or not.

I know what it is like when the money has to be made in a window, when weather rewrites the week, and when a vendor is unreachable during the only fortnight you needed them. That is why I answer within 24 hours and why I make sure you can change your own hours without calling me.

Then I went back to school for the design side and graduated from the Web and Graphic Design program at Bryan University with a 4.0. Real training in typography, layout and user experience, plus the engineering to actually build the thing rather than assemble it from parts.

I still drive a route Monday through Friday. Everything here got built around it, which is the most honest thing I can tell you about how I work, and it is why I will give you a real timeline instead of a hopeful one.

How I price

$40 an hour, itemized, every job. No discovery call you have to survive before you are allowed to know the number. The rate and the hour breakdown are both on the rates page, and you get a fixed quote in writing before anything starts.

You get the source code, always, and your domain stays in your name. If you would rather work with somebody else next year, everything goes with you. I would rather earn the next job than lock you into it.

What I will tell you honestly

If a Google Business Profile and a Facebook page would serve you better than a $350 website, I will say so. If your deadline does not fit my schedule, I will say that before you pay a deposit rather than after. And if what you actually need is better photos rather than a better site, you will hear that too.

One person is one person. That is the trade you make hiring me instead of an agency, and it is worth being clear about it up front.
