HydroPeak, and the eight lake problem.
If you clean docks, wash decks, service boats or plow drives, you do not serve one town. You serve everywhere within about forty minutes, and every one of those places searches for you by its own name.

Why eighteen pages and not one
A person in Nisswa does not search for a pressure washing company. They search for a pressure washing company in Nisswa. Somebody in Crosslake types Crosslake. One page mentioning nine towns in a list at the bottom competes badly against nine pages that each actually talk about one of them.
So the site is built as a grid: each service crossed with each area it covers. That is eighteen pages before anybody has written a word of anything interesting, which is exactly why it is worth showing rather than describing.
Before and after, dragged with a thumb
Pull a handle across the photo and the same surface goes from filthy to clean. For anything where the result is visible, and up here that is docks, decks, roofs, siding and boats, this single feature outsells every paragraph on the page.
If your work photographs well, build the site around that fact. Most trade sites bury the photos in a gallery nobody opens.
The quote form asks three things
What the job is, where it is, and how to reach you. That is all, because every extra field costs you people who were already most of the way to calling. You can ask the rest when you ring them back.
Built ahead of time, for one bar of signal
All eighteen pages are generated when the site is built rather than assembled when somebody visits, so each one opens straight away. That matters here specifically. Your customer is standing on a dock or sitting in a truck at the end of a gravel road, and a site that takes six seconds on a weak signal has already lost to the one that took one.
The mistake I made on it
The hero photo was arriving in well under half a second and Google's speed score was still poor. The cause was the animation revealing it: the measurement is taken when the image finishes appearing on screen, not when the file finishes downloading.
An afternoon to find, and it changed how I build every site since. A fast site that spends a second fading itself in is not a fast site as far as anyone is concerned, including the people ranking you.
